Mr. and Mrs. Stan Sral of Altoona recently celebrated their golden anniversary.
They were married May 4, 1974, at St. Leo's Catholic Church in Altoona. Mrs. Sral is the former Rita Raichle.
The couple have three children and eight grandchildren.
Mr. Sral retired as chief of Blair County Adult Parole and Probation in 2006 and then went back to being a prison guard before finally retiring in 2019.
Mrs. Sral retired after 50 years working as a registered nurse in the emergency room for Nason Hospital, Bon Secours Hospital and most recently UPMC Altoona.
They enjoy traveling and spending time with their grandchildren.
