Mr. and Mrs. Jim Watson of Altoona celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
They were married Oct. 6, 1973, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Altoona, by Father Patrick Seelman, TOR. Mrs. Watson is the former Patty Sinisi.
They couple have three children: Michele Plunket (Bennie) of Altoona, Matthew Watson (Sarah) of Butler and Michael Watson (Aileen) of State College.
They also have eight grandchildren: Jacob, Kaitlyn, Brynn, Chloe, Mason, Grace, Abram and Sam.
Mrs. Watson retired from the Altoona Area School District.
Mr. Watson recently retired from Solarshield.
They are members of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Altoona.
