Mr. and Mrs. August C. Stickel II (Gus and Mary K.) of Altoona celebrated 63 years of marriage on Oct. 14.
They were married in a small ceremony at the First Baptist Church of Connellsvile, by the Rev. Orville Mellquist. Mrs. Stickel is the former Mary K. Coughenour.
They have one son, A.C. (Peggy) Stickel; two grandchildren: Heidi Hoffman and Quint Stickel; and four great-grandchildren.
Mr. Stickel is retired from SuperValue Food Wholesaler in New Stanton.
Gus and Mary K. have enjoyed traveling through most of the continental United States.
Both remain active in the Wehnwood United Methodist Church.
