Mr. and Mrs. Richard Clapper of Hollidaysburg are celebrating their 45th wedding anniversary. The photo is from their 40th wedding anniversary trip to the Grand Canyon.
They were married on Sept. 16, 1978, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Lakemont, by Father Edward Eckenrod.
Mrs. Clapper is the former Becky Warner.
The couple have two daughters: Nicole Clapper Bettwy (Brian) of Altoona, and Heather Clapper of Hollidaysburg.
They also have one grandson: Hunter Clapper.
Mr. Clapper is retired from Target as building services manager.
He is an active member of the Jaffa Shrine.
Mrs. Clapper is retired from the Hollidaysburg Veterans Home as purchasing manager.
The couple have a 45th wedding anniversary trip planned to Hawaii.
