Mr. and Mrs. Charles Beiswenger of Altoona celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C., in May.
They were married May 26, 1973, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Altoona. Mrs. Beiswenger is the former JoEllen Muir.
The couple have two daughters: Jennifer Beiswenger of Altoona and Shelly Ellenberger (Jim) of Tyrone. They also have five grandchildren: Jared, Jake and Johnny Schmidhamer and Nate and Ivan Ellenberger; and one great-grandson.
Mr. Beiswenger retired from Norfolk Southern, Altoona.
Mrs. Beiswenger retired from the Van Zandt VA Medical Center, Altoona.
The couple are members of St. Therese of the Child Jesus Catholic Church, Altoona.
