Mr. and Mrs. John McLucas celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in Walt Disney World while Disney celebrated its 50th anniversary in Orlando, Fla.
Upon return to Altoona, their children gave them a surprise wedding anniversary party with relatives coming from as far as Washington state and Connecticut.
They were married at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Altoona on April 14, 1973. Mrs McLucas is the former Juanita Glover.
They have two children. Michael of Hollidaysburg and Autumn of Altoona.
They were high school sweethearts and both are graduates of Altoona Area High School.
Mr. McLucas retired from Conrail/Norfolk Southern after 31 years.
Mrs. McLucas retired from the Blair County District Courts after 18 years.
