Mr. and Mrs. James Moyer of Roaring Spring celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
The couple were married on May 19, 1973, in the Trinity United Methodist Church. The Moyers were wed by a Catholic priest, Father Imgrund, in the Methodist church -- an uncommon occurrence at the time.
Mr. Moyer is from Puzzletown. He retired from Small Tube Products in Duncansville after more than 38 years of employment.
Mrs. Moyer is the former Belinda Price from Roaring Spring. She was a stay-at-home mother until her children got older, after which she worked as hostess at The Spring House restaurant in Roaring Spring for nearly a decade.
The couple met as students at Central High School in Martinsburg.
They have two children: Jamie Moyer of Duncansville and Jodie (Kenny) LeMaster of Salisbury, Md.
