Mr. and Mrs. Robert Diehl of Altoona celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Jan. 26.
They were married Jan. 26, 1963, at Pleasant Valley Methodist Church, Altoona.
Mrs. Diehl is the former Barbara Rickard.
The couple have one son, Rob of York.
Mr. Diehl worked at Penelec's Williamsburg power plant and transferred to First Energy's Homer City power plant in 1991, where he retired as a supervisor in 1994.
He is a member of the Jaffa Shrine and served in the U.S. Army.
The couple are former members of the Chimrock Squares square dance club and the Holiday Bowl senior bowling league in Altoona.
As country music fans, they enjoy the Steinbeiser Hoedowns at the Tyrone Alliance Church and an occasional trip to Rocky Gap Casino in Cumberland, Md.
