Mr. and Mrs. Gary Chamberlain of East Freedom celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a party on October 8 at the American Legion Hall in Hollidaysburg, hosted by their daughter, daughter in law, and niece.
They were married Oct. 7, 1972, at the Juniata Valley Church, Hollidaysburg. Mrs. Chamberlain is the former Linda Smith.
The couple have two children: Karen Weise and her husband Kurt of East Freedom and Bryan Chamberlain (deceased) and his wife Felicia Chamberlain of Imler.
They also have one grandchild, Porter Weise and a special niece, Tracy Brumbaugh.
Mr. Chamberlain retired from New Enterprise Stone and Lime.
Mrs. Chamberlain retired from the Claysburg-Kimmel School District.
The couple recently took a trip on the Rocky Mountaineer train from Vancouver to Calgary.
They enjoy spending time with their grandson and attending his ice hockey and baseball games.
They also enjoy being outdoors and "babysitting" their granddogs, as well as their new puppy.
