Mr. and Mrs. Francis "Brad" Bradfield of Altoona celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a party on July 16 at the Bavarian Aid Society, hosted by their children and grandchildren.
They were married July 7, 1962, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Altoona. Mrs. Bradfield is the former Susan Russo.
The couple have two children: Lori Gressler and her husband, John, of Altoona; and Robert Bradfield and his wife, Alissa, of Maytown. They also have four grandchildren: Allison and Andrew Gressler and Matt and Mason Bradfield.
Mr. Bradfield worked at H&H Appliance Store, Altoona, for 25 years and retired from Discount Surplus after 15 years. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1961 to 1966. He volunteers many years with the Altoona Area Little League and is a life member of the Bavarian Aid Society and Cesare Battisti Club.
Mrs. Bradfield is a homemaker. She is a member of the Red Hat Society and Christian Mothers and a volunteer for Contact Altoona for more than 30 years.
The couple enjoy spending time with their children and grandchildren, along with traveling, walking and visiting different casinos.
Both are members of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Altoona.
