Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Rodkey Sr. of Altoona celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a family weekend and dinner at one of their favorite restaurants.
They were married May 26, 1962, in Altoona. Mrs. Rodkey is the former Anna Marie Noll.
They have lived in the house they had built in 5th Ward for more than 50 years.
They raised three children, Joseph Jr. of Pittsburgh, Marie Faherty of Philadelphia and Patrick of Avon Lake, Ohio. They have seven grandchildren.
After serving in the U.S. Air Force, Joseph "Big Joe" worked in Altoona retiring from the Butterick Co. He remains active in the Blinded Veterans Association.
After returning to Altoona from work at the U.S. State Department, Anna Marie worked in legal administration retiring as a paralegal.
Joe and Anna Marie enjoy relaxing evenings on the breezeway or swing at their home.
