Mr. and Mrs. Michael "Tom" Starzecky of Tyrone are celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary.
A celebration will be held at a later date.
They were married Jan. 8, 1952, in Cumberland, Md. Mrs. Starzecky is the former Alfretta McCracken.
The couple have three children: Gay Price and her husband, Pete, of Christiansburg, Va.; Patrick and his wife, Trish, of Quakertown; and Michael Thomas Jr., who is deceased.
They have three granddaughters: Lauren, Abby and Jenny Starzecky.
Mr. Starzecky served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.
He retired from Verizon in 1992, after 37 years of service.
Mrs. Starzecky worked at home.
