This Christmas, you can experience the magical feeling of the season in downtown Tyrone. The Magical Animated Adventure includes four animated vignettes that bring the joy of the season to life. Sponsored by the Tyrone Chamber of Commerce, each vignette was crafted in secret by a team of Santa’s elves and their business location host.

The adventure begins at “Santa’s Reindeer Stable” in the window of the Daily Herald on Pennsylvania Avenue. Santa’s elves are harnessing up the lead reindeer for the upcoming flight and filling the sleigh with packages. Continuing down the same block, visitors can peek into “Santa’s Workshop” as everyone is busy preparing toys for children around the world. Hosted by La Coiffure Salon, you can watch Santa try to calm a very active teddy bear.

Turning on to 10th Street, the Billie J. Friday Insurance Agency window is rocking as Santa and Mrs. Claus hold a “North Pole Party” and take a well-deserved dance break with their elves. The final window, sponsored by the Tyrone Chamber of Commerce on Logan Avenue, invites you to join in singing your favorite Christmas song along with the Victorian visitors who are “Caroling Around the Tree.”

Throughout your stroll, enjoy the playfully decorated parking meters and unexpected surprises found in other business displays. The Magical Animated Adventure will run through Jan. 2. Windows are brightly lit at all hours while the figures are animated from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 to 8 p.m. each day.
