Mr. and Mrs. John Conte of Altoona will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary on Wednesday.

They were married Oct. 8, 1964, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Altoona. Mrs. Conte is the former Mary Gibson.

The couple have three children: Dianna (Wally) Morrow of York, Barbara (Paul) Caracciolo II of Altoona and Anita (Kerry) Schultz of Altoona.

They also have seven grandchildren: Ian Morrow, Kaitlyn McCallister, P.R. Caracciolo III, Alison Caracciolo, Lukas Caracciolo, Kasey Schultz and Noah Schultz; and three great-grandchildren: Asher, Brooks and Simon.

Mrs. Conte retired from the neurology department at Blair Medical Associates.

Mr. Conte retired from Penelec.

The couple are members of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, where they are on the church festival committee and Family Life Committee and serve as Eucharistic ministers. They are members of the Country Friends Line Dancers.

Mr. Conte is a member of the Central PA National Guards and Veterans Association.

The couple renewed their wedding vows as part of a group celebration at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament in Altoona in September.
