The Denis T. Bozella Memorial Scholarship was awarded to a Penn Cambria High School graduate during the Gallitzin Alumni Association dinner on Sunday, Aug. 31.
The recipient was Loren Stipanovich of Cresson. Loren will continue her learning career at Mount Aloysius College in Cresson, pursuing a major in the field of biology. Loren will also participate on the Mount's volleyball team.
She is the daughter of Michael and Christa Stipanovich.
Because of the financial support that friends and relatives have provided over the years, the memorial fund in the memory of Denis T. Bozella has been successful in supporting the educational endeavors of many young people. Since 1991, this scholarship fund has assisted 35 students, financially with $32,350.00, to continue their quest for education.
The memorial fund managers are pleased to thank the Gallitzin Alumni Association for providing the opportunity to distribute the annual award, since 1991. It would also be appropriate to thank the benefactors for their support. Donations, to the scholarship fund, have supported the ability to make gifts available to deserving individuals for many years.
The Denis T. Bozella Memorial Scholarship Fund maintains its 501(c)(3) status by filing a 990 form with the federal government. Donations are tax deductible. For filing purposes, a federal tax identification number for the Denis T. Bozella Memorial Scholarship exists.
The Denis T. Bozella Memorial Scholarship Fund is managed by George F and Andrea A. Pyo of Cresson.
The funds are invested with the S&T Bank of Gallitzin.
