Mr. and Mrs. Tim Wiedemer of Altoona celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary on Aug. 17.

A celebration was held to mark their 50th anniversary last year at Scotch Valley Country Club, Hollidaysburg. The couple also took a cruise to New England and Canada.

They were married Aug. 17, 1974, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Altoona. Mrs. Wiedemer is the former Phyllis Casciotti.

The couple have two children: Lori Wiedemer of Altoona and Dan (Alli) Wiedemer of New Cumberland. They also have two grandchildren: Emmett and Annalise.

Mrs. Wiedemer retired from the Altoona Area School District. She previously worked at Bell Telephone Co.

She is a member of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Blair Garden Club and the Cornell Ornithology Society.

Mr. Wiedemer retired as a senior general foreman from Norfolk Southern.

He is a member of the Blair County Game, Fish and Forestry Association, the Ruffed Grouse Society, Pheasants Forever and the Cornell Ornithology Society.
