Golden Gingko tree
One of the simple pleasures of fall is watching the leaves shift into their brilliant colors as the air cools and the days grow shorter. I’ve always had a soft spot for the ginkgo tree. The ginkgo’s fan-shaped leaves seem to lift toward the sky before turning a luminous golden yellow.
This year we were lucky to get such beautiful foliage, especially since many leaves elsewhere suffered from drought or were swept away by strong winds. Ours held on just long enough to glow, before the inevitable gusts last week finally took them.
I’m sharing a lovely piece here today, and I’d love to see your fall moments too. If you have leaves or photos you’ve taken and would like to share, please send them my way. I’ll be happy to feature them on the blog.
Thank you, as always, for being here.
