Peguero sent to Triple-A
Altoona Curve infielder Liover Peguero, considered the Pittsburgh Pirates’ No. 6 prospect, was promoted to Triple-A Indianapolis on Tuesday. Peguero, 22, was hitting .260 for the Curve with 11 home runs and 34 RBIs. He also played a full season with the Curve last year — except for a brief appearance with the Pirates — and hit .259 with 10 homers and 58 RBIs. To take his place, infielder Jackson Glenn was promoted from Single-A Greensboro to the Curve. Glenn was hitting .289 with six homers and 31 RBIs.
