Chester C. “Chet” Thompson Jr., 76, of Brisbin, passed away Friday, Jan. 30, 2026. He was a son of the late Chester C. Thomas Sr. and Adolphine (Finney) Thompson. He married Eileen (Chincharick) Thompson, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Cassandra Kitko (Drew); and two sons, Aaron (Bethany) and Lance (Ashlee). Marian F. “Mimi” (Wertz) Bumann, 92, of Shirley, Mass., formerly of Altoona, passed away Jan. 22, 2026. Marian was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Edwin and Mary Fay (Swope) Wertz. She resided 35 years in Bedford, Mass., where she raised her 10 children. In 2003, she relocated to Carlsbad, Calif., where she resided for 10 years before returning to Massachusetts.
