Michael Edward “Ed” Bem, 92, of Gallitzin, died Sunday. He was born in Gallitzin, son of the late Stanley and Caroline Bem. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Leona; and siblings: Walter, Bernard, Joseph, Felix, Edna, Tillie, Mary, Catherine, Eleanor and Dorothy. Surviving are children: Michael Jr., Joseph “Larry,” Richard, Kathy and Robert; and many grandchildren. Ed was a U.S. Army veteran.
