Central High School softball standout Lacey Lynn was named the Class 2A Player of the Year on Thursday by the Pennsylvania High School Softball Coaches Association.
Lynn, who helped the Lady Dragons to the No. 1 seed in the District 6 2A playoffs this past spring as a pitcher, made the list as a third baseman.
Othern notable names included Clearfield's Emma Hipps, who made it as the 4A Pitcher of the Year and Conemaugh Valley's Anna Gunby, who made it as the 1A Second Baseman of the Year.
Members of the 2A All-State team included Claysburg-Kimmel's Sierra Walters (pitcher), Chestnut Ridge's Alyssa Henderson (catcher) and Maya Wingard (shortstop), and second-teamers Bella Francona of C-K (second base) and Everett's Chloe Price (outfield).
The Class 3A All-Star Second Team was represented by Central's Bralyn Ellis (catcher) and Maya Hazenstab (second base). Bald Eagle Area's Sierra Albright (pitcher), Ava Stere (first base) and Maddie Perry (shortstop) also made the team.
Clearfield's Olivia Bender (catcher), Lauren Ressler (first base) and Ruby Singleton (outfield) made the 4A All-State team. Central Mountain's Caitlyn Watson (shortstop), Allison Lininger (utility) and Adalynn McKeague (pitcher) made the 5A team. State College's Madysen Burkey (outfield) made the 6A team.
