Dwayne W. Claar, 92, of Claysburg, passed away Tuesday at his residence.
He was born in Claysburg, son of the late Russell L. and Irene (Claar) Claar. On June 20, 1956, he married Donna J. Smith in Cumberland, Md.
Surviving are his wife; a son, David Claar (Nicole); a grandson, Jordan Claar (Tiffany); two granddaughters, Brittney and Emmeline Claar; four great-grandchildren: Vivian, Charlene, Emelia and Lochlan; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by a son, Terry Alan Claar; and a brother, Samuel Wade Claar.
Dwayne was a 1952 graduate of Greenfield-Kimmel High School and served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955. He was employed at Richard Nicodemus Construction, Champion Homes Road Crew and Black's Mobile Home, retiring in 1995. He was a life member of the Smokey Run Rod and Gun Club and enjoyed shooting trap and woodworking projects.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Interment will be at Upper Claar Cemetery.
