ROARING SPRING -- The Spring Cove School Board approved the resignation of Central High School's longtime varsity football coach Dave Baker, according to Superintendent Betsy Baker.
"In his 44 years of coaching for Williamsburg and Central, Baker won 245 games," the superintendent said. "At CHS, he won 119 games across 13 seasons and led the Dragons to seven D6 Championships and to four appearances in the state semi-finals."
The superintendent, along with the rest of the board, thanked Baker "for his dedication to the sport and to the Central High School athletes" and wished him "the very best in his retirement."
In other matters, the board also approved the district's 2024-27 comprehensive plan and five state reports. The documents are available for viewing on the district's website.
