Constance Rose (Frye) Buchanan, 75, Altoona, passed away Sept. 24, 2023, at her residence after a brave battle with cancer. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Herman and Regina (Maye) Frye.
Constance was twice married: first to Mr. Paul Sponsler, and secondly to James Buchanan. They both preceded her in death.
Constance is survived by her four children: Dwayne Sponsler, Rhonda Holland, Constance Cowher and Lisa Podelco; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Cynthia Brode and Evelyn Walter.
She was a 1966 graduate of Altoona Area High School.
Constance was a member at The Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament.
She was a caregiver and had been employed with United Cerebral Palsy (UPC).
Constance enjoyed collecting elephants, going for walks and reading her Bible.
There will be no visitation or services at this time. Interment will be held at Blair Memorial Park.
