Event set for Aug. 18 and 19
HOLLIDAYSBURG -- The Hollidaysburg Area High School Class of 1973 will hold its 50th anniversary reunion Aug. 18 and 19.
Friday night will be a free casual gathering from 7 to 10 p.m. in the back property at the Old Canal Inn hosted by classmate/owner Lance Laratonda.
There will be music, snack food and a cash bar. More food will also be available for purchase, if desired.
Saturday afternoon for those attending the reunion, join in a tour of the high school. The graduating class of 1973 was the first class to attend all three years at the new school when it opened for the 1970-71 school year.
Saturday evening will also be a casual evening with a buffet dinner held from 6 to 10 p.m. in Liberty Hall at the historic U.S. Hotel Tavern in Hollidaysburg. R&B Productions' Ralph Baker will DJ from 7 to 10 p.m.
Table Magician Dick Mangiacarne will be entertaining everyone and there'll be a photographer on hand for a group photo. Cost will be $45 per person for the evening along with a cash bar.
