Trump faces complaints Iran sanctions too weak

WASHINGTON — A battle is brewing between the Trump administration and some of the president’s biggest supporters in Congress who are concerned that sanctions to be re-imposed on Iran early next month won’t be tough enough.

As President Donald Trump prepares to re-impose sanctions that had been eased under the 2015 nuclear deal, conservative lawmakers and outside advisers have become worried that the administration may break a promise to exert “maximum pressure” on Iran.


Dog can’t lead rescuers to missing owner

GRANGEVILLE — A dog that unexpectedly showed up three weeks after disappearing with his 76-year-old owner in an Idaho forest has failed to lead searchers to her.

A searcher on Friday took the border collie named Ace back to the area, but he did not lead the searcher to Connie Johnson.
