Two Blue Devils get PFN recognition

Bellwood-Antis placed two players on the PA Football News Coaches-Select all-state football team in Class 2A.
Making the first team were Blue Devils Colin Gibbons (slot/H-back) and Cayden Pellegrine (outside linebacker), along with Central Cambria’s Grady Snyder (defensive athlete), Bedford’s Quincy Swaim (offensive athlete) and Bald Eagle Area’s Carson Nagle (quarterback).
Class 2A second-teamers included Richland’s Austin Yarnick (wide receiver) and Noah Ritko (kicker), Mount Union’s Nasir Collins (running back), Penns Valley’s Fletcher Ironside (return specialist) and BEA’s Wyatt Spackman (middle linebacker) and Grady Fisher (punter).
In Class 6A, State College’s Ty Salazar (wide receiver) was the player of the year. He was joined on the first team by teammates Eddie Corkery (quarterback) and Michael Gaul (outside linebacker). State’s Cooper Brushwood (slot/H-back) was a second-team pick.
In Class 4A, Clearfield’s Brady Collins (running back) was the co-player of the year with Lampeter-Strasburg’s Caileb Howse, and Victor Ridenour, a Claysburg-Kimmel High School graduate, was the co-coach of the year with Bonner-Prendie’s Jack Muldoon.
