Altoona football on Fox/ABC net

STATE COLLEGE — Fox 8 TV and ABC 23 TV announced on Thursday they will be airing Altoona Area High School football games live this season.

The games will be available on the station’s websites: abc23.com and fox8tv.com under the high school football team tab.

The idea to live stream the games came after the Pennsylvania Department of Education’s decision to not allow spectators, according to Jon Gorchow, general manager of Fox 8 and ABC 23.

Besides Altoona, the two stations will also broadcast Richland Rams football games as well. According to the press release, Altoona’s game tonight with Cumberland Valley is part of the internet broadcast schedule. Richland’s game with Bishop McCort tonight will also be broadcast.

The remaining schedule of games for both teams will all be a part of the broadcast.
