Five BG players honored by PaFootballNews.com

Five Bishop Guilfoyle Catholic players were named to the Class 1A PaFootballNews.com Coaches Select All-State first team on Thursday.

Keegan Myrick (slot/h-back), Brady Bithell (OT), Cameron Maloney (DT), Andrew Yanoshak (DE) and Zach McCloskey (LB) were selected to the first team.

Jack Donoughe (center) was selected to the second team for the Marauders.

Juniata Valley was also well represented with punter Hunter Johnson and linebacker Ryann Betres making the first team. Jacob Hensor was a second-team wide receiver.

Portage’s Jake Irvin made the first team as a defensive tackle, and Northern Cambria got a pair of second teamers in Adam Kopera (RB) and Joseph Wagner (OG).

Bedford’s Jesse Arnold was the first-team center in Class 3A, and the Bisons’ Steven Ressler was a second-team cornerback.

Penn Cambria’s Nick Marinak was the second-team return specialist in 3A.
