Central boys take care of Rams
MARTINSBURG — The Central High School boys basketball team jumped out to a 23-9 first-quarter lead Friday night en route to a 67-48 win over Penns Valley in the regular-season finale for the Scarlet Dragons.
Eli Muthler’s 21 points were tops for Central (18-4), which also got 12 points from Mason Byler. Teammate Zach Lingenfelter added 10 points.
The Scarlet Dragons are now off until Monday, Feb. 24, when they will play the winner of Huntingdon-Juniata for the District 6 Class 4A championship.

Great Commission boys down BCC
DUNCANSVILLE — The Great Commission School boys basketball team defeated Blair County Christian, 36-25, in area high school action Friday night.
Alex Guise led the Bears with 14 points and six rebounds to go with 11 points from Elijah Best.
BCC got 11 points from Jonathan Marucci.
Great Commission will play Northumberland Christian this Thursday in the first round of the Allegheny Christian Athletic Association playoffs.
