Big first quarter sparks Williamsburg to win

WILLIAMSBURG — Williamsburg came out and grabbed a 17-point lead after one quarter of play, and then put the game away in the third quarter of a 64-18 win over Northern Bedford Tuesday night in girls high school basketball.

The Lady Blue Pirates, which led 22-5 after the first, received a game-high 26 points from Levada Gorsuch, while LeeAnna Royer and Grace Colbert registered 11 points each.

Alyssa Yeatts and Amberlyn Detterline led the Lady Panthers with seven points apiece.
