Lady Lions race to win at CDE

HARRISBURG — The Altoona girls basketball team jumped out to a 19-2 first-quarter lead en route to a 57-29 win at Central Dauphin East in high school girls basketball action Tuesday night.

Nevaeh Gibson scored the first 10 points of the game for the Lady Lions (7-4). She finished with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Freshman Melana Eyer added 10 points.

Lady Devils roll

BELLWOOD — Lydia Worthing posted a double-double with a game-high 18 points and 14 rebounds in Bellwood-Antis’ 63-21 ICC win over West Branch.

Two other Lady Devils also had double doubles. Jaidyn McCracken scored 13 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, while Chelsea McCaulskey scored 12 points and had 10 assists.
