Buell’s big game leads C-K to win
HOUTZDALE — Wyatt Buell had a career-high 30 points Tuesday night to lead the Claysburg-Kimmel boys basketball team to a 71-51 win at Moshannon Valley in high school boys basketball action.
The Bulldogs, 4-11, used a 23-8 showing in the second quarter to take control of the game. Owen Bradley added 11 points to go with 10 points for the winners.
The Black Knights (0-13) got 16 points from Trey Lyon and 15 each from Mike Kitko and Kadin Hansel.

Lions defeated
Altoona trailed by just three at the half, but Chamberburg took control with a 22-12 advantage in the third quarter to pull away in a 56-40 victory at the AAHS Fieldhouse.
Lucas Muffie scored 12 points, and Ashton Neely added 10 points for the Mountain Lions.

DuBOIS — Hollidaysburg jumped out to an 18-13 first-quarter lead but struggled after that in a 47-35 loss at DuBois.

LOYSBURG — Bailey Heuston scored 15 points to lead the Central girls basketball team to a 45-34 win over Northern Bedford in high school action.
The Lady Dragons, now 11-5, also got 12 points from Katheryn Longenecker in a game they led, 23-18, at halftime.
Northern Bedford, which dropped to 3-12, got 11 points from Mariah Hall.

Lady Vikes 5-0 in MVL
FLINTON — Alyssa Sinclair scored a game-high 17 points to lead Glendale over Moshannon Valley, 46-25.
The Lady Vikings, up 16-13 at halftime, also got 11 points from Kyla Campbell.
Glendale improved to 7-8 overall, 5-0 in the Moshannon Valley League and 4-5 in the Inter-County Conference with the win.
Sydney Bubb’s 11 points were tops for the Damsels.
