Weakland helps Lady Highlanders get past Bishop Carroll

EBENSBURG — Cambria Heights pulled out a 52-50 victory over Bishop Carroll in high school girls basketball action on Friday.

Kirsten Weakland led the Lady Highlanders with 23 points, Abigail Baker scored 12, and Bryce Burkey added 10. Savannah Smorto scored 17 for BC.

Lady Mustangs win

PORTAGE — Jenna Burkett scored a career-high 13 points and had four rebounds and three steals to lead Portage to a 54-50 win over Westmont Hilltop.

Lauren Shaffer contributed 11 points, six rebounds, five assists and three steals for the Lady Mustangs, and Maddy Hudak added 11 points and four steals.

Westmont, which dropped to 7-4 on the season, got 19 points from Lauren Lavis.
