Guilfoyle earns important league victory on the road

BEDFORD — Bishop Guilfoyle picked up a key Laurel Highlands Conference victory with a 49-35 win over Bedford in high school boys basketball on Monday.

Patrick Haigh led the Marauders with 11 points, and Michael Woolridge added 10 points.

Steven Ressler led Bedford with 17 points.

SIDMAN — Garrett Harrold poured in 22 points to help Penn Cambria stay on a hot streak with a 59-45 victory over Forest Hills.

Connor Karabinos scored 14 points, and Jake Tsikalas added 12 for the Panthers, who won their fifth straight game. Jeremy Burda and Carson Berkhimer each scored 12 for the Rangers.

Pirates win big

FLINTON — Williamsburg jumped out to a 42-19 halftime advantage and cruised past Glendale, 66-38.

Lambert Palmer led the Blue Pirates (10-1) with 20 points, and Drew Hileman scored 13.

Ryan Sinclair scored 13 for Glendale, and Landon Smeal scored 11 points.

Ean McCarty’s 18 points were tops for the Bobcats, who led, 35-17, at halftime.

Blair County Christian also got 13 points from Connor Dull and 11 from Davis Dull.
