Central pulls away in 2nd half for win

MARTINSBURG — Central, up 20-19 at halftime, outscored Philipsburg-Osceola 29-8 in the third quarter en route to a 62-43 win over the Mounties in high school boys basketball action on Thursday.

Devon Boyles’ 26 points were tops for Central (12-4), which also got 15 points from Eli Lingenfelter.

The Mounties (10-5) got 13 points from Ryan Whitehead and 12 points from Oliver Harpster.

Joziah Wyatt-Taylor led Johnstown with 30 points.

The Trojans will play Bishop Guilfoyle in the final on Saturday.

Garrett Harrold led Penn Cambria with 23 points.
