H.S. boys hoops

PORTAGE — Five players scored in double figures to help Portage move to 3-0 with a 67-44 win over Northern Bedford in high school boys basketball on Thursday.

Kaden Claar and Demetri Miller each scored 13 points, and Preston Rainey, Koby Kargo and Mason Kargo each added 10 points for the Mustangs. Hayden Foor led Northern Bedford with 13 points, and Dakota Claar and Collin Yates each scored 10.

On Wednesday in Johnstown, Kaden Claar scored 19 points to help Portage beat Ferndale, 68-34. Rainey added 14 points.

LATROBE — Blair County Christian improved to 6-1 with a 53-28 win at Bible Baptist Christian Academy of Latrobe.

Ean McCarty’s 19 points were tops for the Bobcats, who won the game with a 16-5 showing in the third quarter. Kort Sease chipped in with 11 points to go with 10 points from Davis Dull.
