Huntingdon, Tyrone share league title

BELLEFONTE — Nick Gearhart went over the 1,000-point mark for his career with Huntingdon in a 70-41 win at Bellefonte in the Bearcats’ regular-season finale in high school boys basketball action on Wednesday.

Gearhart finished with 24 points as the Bearcats improved to 20-2 overall, 13-1 in the league. They also will share the Mountain League title with Tyrone, which also finished at 13-1 after its win over Bald Eagle Area in other Wednesday night action.

Jackson Ritchey scored 17 for Huntingdon. Bellefonte fell to 8-14 overall and 3-11 in the league.
