Szapala sparks CC to victory
BEDFORD — Led by Kiersten Szapala’s 17 points, Central Cambria pulled away from Bedford with a 21-point third quarter in a 56-38 win over Bedford in girls high school basketball action Monday night.
Cassidy Bezek (12 points) and Liz Bopp (10 points) were both in double figures for the Lady Devils (8-6), who led, 23-14, at halftime.
Sydney Taracatac tied Szapala for the game-high with 17 points for Bedford, which fell to 7-4.
