PC tops Bedford

H.S. girls basketball

CRESSON — Penn Cambria doubled up Bedford by halftime, 30-15, en route to a 61-40 Laurel Highlands Athletic Conference win in high school girls basketball action on Thursday.

Lora Davis topped all scorers with 20 points for the Lady Panthers. Sydney Taracatac scored 19 points for Bedford, and Josie Shuke scored 19.

Both teams are now 8-7.

PATTON — Chloe Weakland was one of five players in double figures for Cambria Heights in its win over Bishop Carroll.

Weakland totaled 13 points to go with 12 each from Abby Lobick and Jade Snedden for Heights (15-1). Kirsten Weakland and Paige Jones added 10 apiece for the Lady Highlanders, who led 15-6 after one quarter.

Madison Ostinowsky had 22 points for the Lady Huskies (7-7).
