Boys basketball

CRESSON — Carter Smith topped all scorers with 23 points, and Connor Karabinos added 19 to lead Penn Cambria past Chestnut Ridge, 73-67, in a Laurel Highlands Athletic Conference high school boys basketball game on Wednesday.

Garrett Harrold came off the bench for 11 points for the Panthers.

Four players reached double figures scoring for the Lions, led by Matt Whysong with 15 points. Isaac Little had 14 points, Noah Hillegass scored 13 points, and Kam Clapper had 11 points.

Michael Montecalvo added 11 points for the Marauders, who led 38-9 at halftime and remained undefeated in Laurel Highlands Athletic Conference play at 12-0 and 13-1 overall.

Heights was led in scoring by Preston Lamb with eight points.
