Miller, Lady Tigers top Latrobe

LATROBE — Hollidaysburg rode the hot hand of Marin Miller for 28 points in a 57-49 win against Greater Latrobe at the Latrobe Tournament in high school girls basketball on Friday.

Allison Hileman scored 14 points for the Lady Tigers, now 5-1. Hollidaysburg returns to action tonight at 8 p.m. against Indiana.

WEXFORD — Adalynn Cherry scored 23 points, 13 of them in the fourth quarter, but Altoona came up short after a late rally against North Allegheny at the Wright Automotive Tournament at North Allegheny High School.

Caranda Perea had a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds, and Adaliz Corbin scored 10. Emma Fischer and Liszt Groetsch each scored 14 points for NA.
