H.S. boys basketball

BELLWOOD — Troy Walker scored 19 points to help Bellwood-Antis move to 2-1 with a 60-42 victory over Mount Union in high school boys basketball action on Wednesday.

Connor Gibbons, Trenton Pellegrino and Zach Miller each had nine points for the Blue Devils.

PORTAGE — Preston Rainey led a balanced attack with 14 points in sparking Portage past Meyersdale in its season opener.

The Mustangs, who led 24-6 after one quarter of play, also got 13 points from freshman Mason Kargo and 11 points from Payton Zatek.

Meyersdale, which trailed, 42-16, at halftime, fell to 0-2.
