Notable: Altoona is in the finals for the ninth straight year. … The Lady Lions are 24-10 in D6 championship game competition. … Altoona won 46-37 at the Fieldhouse on Jan. 2, and State College prevailed, 44-29, at home on Jan. 29. … Fox is signed with Division I Detroit-Mercy, Perea has committed to Division I George Washington and Bokunewicz has received an offer from Division I DePaul. … Altoona swept both regular season meetings last year but was upset in the championship game when Hudson got into foul trouble. … Speaking of Hudson, she’s been finding her offensive groove lately after returning from a torn ACL and a concussion.

Notable: This is the sixth year in a row these teams have played for the district championship. State College has won four of the previous five, including the last two seasons. … Altoona is trying to avenge a pair of losses to State College. It lost on the road by 17 but was in the game until the final possession in a 55-50 loss at the Fieldhouse. … The Mountain Lions are seeking a 38th District 6 championship, which would extend their district record. West was a player on the 1984 and 1985 6-4A title teams. … Tommy Friberg, State College’s quarterback, is walking on to the Michigan football team.
