Athlete of the week achievement: Miksich tied for medalist honors in the Mountain League match at Huntingdon Country Club by carding a 78 and helping Tyrone top the seven-team field. Miksich was competing in a field of boys players.

Season update: Miksich’s round of 78 was her second 18-hole competitive scholastic match of the year. She finished tied for 10th place after shooting an 88 at the season-opening Happy Valley Invitational.

Coach Mike Funicelli’s quote: “She played really well and had a great front nine. She shot a 35, but she got a little tired on the back nine and still had a great score with a 78. She’s only three weeks removed from ankle surgery.”
