Jones keeps busy for Heights
Name: Paige Jones

Athlete of the week achievement: Jones had two hits, including a double, in an 11-10 win over Chestnut Ridge. She had three hits, including two doubles, in a 9-3 win over Northern Cambria. In a 5-1 win over Forest Hills, Jones tossed a three-hitter with 10 strikeouts for the win. She also got the wins over Ridge and Northern.
Season update: Jones has 52 strikeouts in 31 innings with an earned-run average of 2.26. She is batting .385 with 13 runs scored and five doubles in helping Heights to a 9-1 record.
Coach Drew Thomas quote: “I’ve been using her mainly as a closer, but she does get some starts. She is a prime example of a lot of hard work paying off for her. She is one of our leaders. When she plays center field, she is also one of our better athletes. She is an all-around good athlete.”
