Athlete of the week achievement: Klotz went 2-for-4 with six RBIs and a double and a triple in Central’s 20-10 win over Bedford. The Scarlet Dragons’ catcher followed that performance with a 2-for-3 day at the plate and two more RBIs in a 10-0 win over Clearfield. Klotz also threw out three baserunners.

Season update: Following their game against Bellwood-Antis on Monday, Central will participate in the Curve Classic and play Tyrone in the first round on Thursday at 3 p.m.

Teammates look up to him, and I can’t say enough good things about him. He can do it all. His defensive skills get overlooked because of his bat.”

How I got my start in baseball: My parents got me into it when I was 5 playing tee ball.

Future goal: Go to college and play baseball at Kent State and play baseball as long as I can. Then, I’d like to move somewhere near water and live near a lake.
