Athlete of the week: Davis sets standard for Tigers

Athlete of the week achievement: Davis won the District 6 Class 3A high school golf sectionals with a 74 at Sinking Valley Country Club and helped Hollidaysburg advance into the district team championship. He also shot 74 at Down River in victories over Tussey Mountain and Everett and carded a 73 at Scotch Valley in wins over Saint Joseph’s, Bellefonte, Everett and Tussey Mountain.
Season update: Davis has led Hollidaysburg to a 14-3 record and will play for both the individual and team District 6 Class 3A championships Wednesday at Scotch Valley Country Club.

How I got my start in golf: “I went on vacation at Myrtle Beach and played golf with my dad in eighth grade.”
