Athlete of the week achievement: Ruhlman won the District 5 singles tennis championship for the third time. She also won at No. 1 singles in both the semifinals and finals of the District 5 team tournament.

Season update: Ruhlman has a singles record of 21-2 and will compete at states on Nov. 1.

How I got my start in tennis: “I decided to start playing tennis at the age of 10, so I started getting lessons at The Summit (Athletic Club) and decided it was something I was passionate about.”

Future goal: To attend the University of Pittsburgh-Greensburg, play tennis there and help be a leader on the team
