Athlete of the week achievement: Vereshack drove in two runs in an 8-7 win over Williamsburg, hit a home run and double and drove in four runs in a 13-3 win over Curwensville and collected three hits and two RBIs in a 4-3 victory over Claysburg-Kimmel.

Season update: Vereshack is hitting .444 with 24 hits, two homers and 23 RBIs. Her on-base percentage is .531 and slugging is .667. Glendale is 15-2.

Her work ethic is shown by the fact that in three years I don’t think she has missed an open gym or practice, and while there, she works just as hard on her game as anyone. Lastly, her willingness to improve is shown not only in her practice habits but by the way she continually asks questions day in and day out to clarify even the smallest of details for her and her team’s sake.”
